High School boys commit to staying drug-free and focus on exams

Three high school learners have taken a firm stand against drugs, pledging instead to dedicate their time and energy to preparing for their upcoming examinations

The boys said they are aware of the dangers posed by drug and substance abuse, particularly among young people, and have resolved to distance themselves from such temptations. Instead, they are determined to set a positive example for their peers by prioritising education and personal development.

“We know drugs can destroy our future. That’s why we’ve decided to stay focused on our studies and work hard to pass our exams,” one of the boys explained.

Their commitment comes at a time when many communities are grappling with rising incidents of youth substance abuse, which often leads to poor academic performance and long-term social challenges. By choosing education over drugs, the boys hope to inspire their classmates to adopt the same mindset and take their studies seriously.

Community members and educators have praised their decision, calling it a powerful message of hope and discipline.
